In the final phase of the “Broom” film eco-festival project, the premiere screening of the students’ short feature films and documentaries based on the scripts made by the 7th and 8th graders at the previous workshop was held in elementary schools in Žabari and Aleksandrovac. The topics concerned environmental protection in their local community: from illegal landfills, septic tanks and recycling to unplanned forest cutting and poaching. In addition to the knowledge acquired in the field of environmental protection, the students also used knowledge and skills in photography, film recording and editing techniques. The best in various competitions received the prestigious “Golden Broom” award, which will symbolically serve them to keep their environmental awareness as pure as possible and pass it on to others.
