A successful final partner meeting was held in Požarevac (12–14 January 2026) as part of the Erasmus+ project “Guiding the Guide”, dedicated to supporting class teachers and homeroom educators across Europe.

The host team welcomed partners and coordinators from Germany and colleagues from North Macedonia 🇩🇪🇲🇰🇷🇸. During the three-day meeting, participants reviewed the project’s achievements so far and discussed next steps to ensure long-term impact.

Key outcomes of the meeting

  • 📚 Teacher Training: Partners exchanged good practices and methods that help homeroom teachers handle everyday challenges in working with students. They also agreed on the structure of the upcoming teacher training for using the project’s main output — the Handbook.
  • 📢 Dissemination: The teams planned how to spread the project results and make the newly developed knowledge and tools accessible to as many education professionals as possible in their countries.
  • 🇷🇸 Cultural Programme: One day was dedicated to a study visit to Sremski Karlovci, Novi Sad, and Fruške Terme, offering partners an opportunity to experience Serbia’s cultural, culinary, and historical heritage.
  • 🚀 Next Step – KA220: A major part of the discussion focused on upgrading the initiative to the KA220SCH level, aiming for a more comprehensive project with a larger sample and a stronger, long-term impact on education systems.

The hosts expressed pride that ideas developed in Požarevac are contributing to improving teachers’ work at an international level.
