This project aims to strengthen students’ understanding of how Europe’s cultural diversity contributes to a shared European identity. Through workshops on heritage, sustainability, and democracy, students will explore common values and improve cultural awareness by 50%. Around 90% of participants are expected to take part in sustainability initiatives. Activities include local and digital cultural exhibitions, environmental projects like recycling campaigns, and virtual EU Parliament simulations. These will culminate in a visit to Brussels, deepening students’ knowledge of civic participation and European integration. The project will also improve digital skills and encourage active citizenship. Participants will gain a stronger appreciation for cultural diversity and democratic values. Long-term resources such as exhibitions and sustainability tools will remain available for future educational use.

The Erasmus+ project MOSAICS of Europe, connecting schools from Martinique, Greece, and the YAEDA organization, held its first mobility in July 2025. Focused on cultural diversity, the project promotes ecological and democratic competences among students and teachers. After spending two days in Paris, the group continued to Martinique, where the host school welcomed them in a vibrant Caribbean atmosphere. A coordinators’ meeting was held to agree on next steps, responsibilities, and shared goals. One of the key topics discussed was the issue of sargassum seaweed, which is affecting the island due to environmental damage in the Amazon.
